Dr. Susan McLendon 

Executive Director

 

Dr. Susan McLendon is an advanced practice Public Health Clinical Nurse Specialist. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of Alabama and a Master of Science in Nursing at Georgia Southern University.  Dr. McLendon has expertise in Community Health Needs Assessments, rural health network development, community program design, implementation, evaluation, and grant writing.  She has served as a Director and Primary Investigator of several federal, state, and foundation grants. Dr. McLendon authored publications in Diabetes Spectrum and Public Health Nursing. Her post-graduate work focused on chronic disease management in rural Southeast Georgia, incorporating telehealth models to improve access to health education and specialty care.

Angie Anderson

Executive Assistant

 

Angie Anderson has a comprehensive professional background in office management, accounting, and paralegal services.  She received an Associate of Applied Science from East Georgia College and a Diploma in Information and Office Technology from Southeastern Technical College.

Angie developed a strong devotion to the nonprofit sector as a director of pageants for the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life programs at local and state levels  This involvement gave her an appreciation for how nonprofits seek to improve the quality of life for those in need.

Ms. Anderson assists with office management, future grant program coordination, and website updates for the Meadows New Foundation.
